Joint Military Exercise between India and Nepal Commenced

Gulariya। The 18th edition of ‘Exercise Surya Kiran’, a joint military exercise between India and Nepal commenced today at Nepal Army Battle School, Saljhandi in the Shivalik ranges of Western Nepal. The exercise scheduled till 13 Jan 2025, aims to enhance interoperability, primarily in the fields of Counter Terrorism (CT) Operations.

Exercise Surya Kiran signifies the strong bond of friendship, trust and common military linkages that exist between India and Nepal.

It also provides a platform to understand mil culture, doctrine, drills and procedures including best practices while operating in CT scenario and enhances collaborative approach between the two friendly armies.
